Compact, powerful, and easy to store. We recommend this for beginners new to saddles, or people wanting to explore different sex toys. Cleanup is easy, swapping out accessories is too. The grab bar is an upgrade from the Rider Desire making use much more stable especially kneeling on a bed.

The RiderAir marks the second product we have reviewed from VVD. The first was the brand new Rider Desire with seasonally accurate bats adorning its surface. As before, VVD provided this saddle to us for review. Thank you VVD! The RiderAir is a more compact compact version of the Deluxe, and the attachments were found to be interchangeable between the two. The integrated clitoral massager and strength of the attachments is equivalent to the Desire, just in a smaller overall package. The RiderAir brings about some features that we appreciated seeing.
The first thing we noticed was the grab handle. When the power gets turned up, having something to hang on to makes it easier to enjoy the attachments without the risk of teetering backwards if your legs turn to jelly. The next major difference we noted was the top mounted controls. It’s easy to reach down and control the settings while seated in your saddle. There is also a remote control included in the box. We had no issues getting it to connect and there was no discernable delay getting the settings to adjust as we saw fit.
VVD positions the RiderAir as lightweight and more portable saddle that can be carried in a suitcase, or easily tucked away if you have storage constraints. If you’re one of the few with their own dedicated sex room or dungeon, you could even choose to display it on a shelf next to your accessories and attachments. Shipping was discrete. When the package arrived on our door, there was no indication of what was inside. We have some neighbours who love to sit on their front porches and watch the happenings of the community. Having the unmarked arrival keeps what we’re about to enjoy, private.
We have had a lot of fun with the RiderAir over the past several weeks, testing the different attachments and settings. The fit and finish, and light weight can give the initial impression that this might be a lower quality item, and it is quite the opposite. VVD reduced the size and weight, but did not compromise on features. If you’re a frequent traveler, have limited space, are budget conscious, or just want an easy way to forget about daily stressors, then this would work well in your home. The full sized Desire is for those with a bit more to spend, want to enjoy longer sessions, a bit more space, or those who want an expanded set of included accessories to play with.
The RiderAir arrived in an unmarked cardboard box. There was no damage on arrival which is always nice to see. Inside we found a bright orange box, each side labeled with information about the RiderAir. In a brick and mortar store it would quickly catch your eye! We carefully cut through the quality control stickers and opened the top. Inside there is a layer of foam that has cutouts for each of the included accessories. It saves on space and protects the items, win-win.
Underneath this foam layer is the RiderAir sealed in an air tight bag, and carefully positioned with protective foam surrounding it. There is also a pastel purple drawstring storage bag included. We love storage bags.
The box is sturdy enough that you could reuse it for storage if you wished. That said, as it is designed to be compact and store in smaller spaces, the storage bag is an arguably better place to keep it long term.
The RiderAir is an introductory sex saddle designed for those who need compact storage, want to travel with it, or for those just starting to explore the larger side of sex toys. The lower cost makes it an easy choice for a first saddle compared to a mortgage payment for a Sybian or Motorbunny. Both of which are absolutely top tier, but at 10x the cost, it might be a bit steep for some budgets. There are two attachments included that lock in magnetically, and are powered by the internal rechargeable battery. Included are one thrusting vibrator, and a come-hither vibrator. This is in addition to the integrated air pulse vibrator on the actual RiderAir. Part of the lower cost comes from not including app connectivity or long distance play options. It’s designed for the non-digital experience.
The RiderAir is made with ABS plastic and the saddle is rated to IPX5 and is considered splashproof without submersion. Essentially, you can use it if you’re a squirter without fear of damaging the saddle, and can easily clean it up with a damp towel or a very careful low pressure spray. I’d personally stick to wipes though to be safe. The vibrators are made with high grade silicone. When we opened the box, there were no chemical odors or off-gassing that you typically get with mid-low grade silicone or TPE. In the nearly 5 weeks we have had the RiderAir, we have not yet run into issues with the controls, attachments, or remote control. We typically use it on the floor or on the bed. There have been several occasions where in the heat of the moment it gets kicked off the bed, however it has not shown any surface damage or cracking.
The details everyone wants to know, how doe the RiderAir perform? I’d argue it punches above its weight class. Hosting the battery in the saddle vs in the accessories means VVD can use more powerful motors without risking the batteries dying out too quickly or getting too hot. You get the power of a small wand or higher end insertable toy, without the high price tag or extra weight. We looked at a few things including how strong the vibrators are, how comfortable the saddle is, ease of use, and most importantly, how is the orgasm with it?
Vibrations
The vibrators pack a surprisingly decent amount of power in them. For the come hither vibrator, we were unable to stall it out even on low during normal use. The vibrations are a mid-range frequency similar to a smaller wand or larger insertable vibrator. The thrusting attachment was just as strong. We were able to stall it out on low using our hands, but could not during normal use.The cross-hatched pattern of the support structure under the silicone prevented any pinches or binding against our skin. During our play sessions we found the come hither vibrator worked a bit better for achieving orgasms, but everyone will have their own preference for what feels best.
Comfort
The RiderAir is comfortable to sit on for shorter periods when used on the floor. The lower seat height meant more pressure on the shins and knees compared to the Desire model that sits slightly higher. Throwing down a soft blanket or thin pillow made it significantly more comfortable, and if you have access to a thick workout mat or gymnastics mat, it’s even moreso (plus easy cleanup!). Our preference was to use it on the bed over a thin blanket that could be tossed in the wash. The grab handle is in the right position to hold onto while enjoying your ride and it makes rocking the saddle much easier. Rocking will change the angle and pressure of the attachments so you can adjust it to your preference. Directly on the hard floor we made it about 5-10 minutes before it became uncomfortable. Throwing down a blanket got us to the 15-20 minute point. Using dedicated workout mats or using it while on the bed, comfort was a non-issue, and it was a game to see if we could outlast the battery. RiderAir won that round.
Ease of use
Charging is done via USB-C located on the front of the saddle, although it cannot be used while being charged. The buttons are easy to see and press as the rider or even as a partner. there is a small, white, LED indicator light that shows when the saddle is switched on or charging. As far as swapping out attachments, it only takes a few seconds as they’re held in magnetically.
How does it feel?
The big question! The answer? Excellent. Promising an orgasm isn’t something we can do as everybody is different, however, we currently have a an excellent success rate with multiples every time we’ve used it so far. Fair warning though, if you use this with a partner, they will likely come close to passing out or jump straight from the saddle onto you. Keep a bottle of water handy if you’re going to try and outlast the battery. We were able to drain it after 4 separate play sessions at 15-20 minutes each on various settings.
Cleanup is fairly simple aided by the IPPX5 splash rating. A quick spray with some water to wipe it down, and some toy cleaner to follow (silicone and plastic safe!) does the trick. Parents, water wipes work exceptionally well for cleanup and you probably have a pack or two kicking around you can spare. When cleaning, make sure you wipe out the attachment points and dry them thoroughly. Leaving moisture in there or on the accessory contacts could lead to corrosion. The slitoris stimulator is another easy wipe-off with a lint free towel dry. It’s made of silicone and is safe to sanitize appropriately.
For storage, we use the included drawstring bag and have separate toy safe bags for each of the attachments. You can easily make your own storage bags if you’re handy with a sewing machine, or you can order them in bulk online. As pet owners, having extra bags around to keep fur off is a godsend during shedding season. Food for thought.
Clearly, we enjoyed using the RiderAir. Mrs Rocky enjoyed the lightweight and easy to access buttons, and most definitely enjoyed the stimulation from the different accessories. The preference for our use was the come hither vibrator, but use what works best for you. We don’t travel with our sex toys, we have a dedicated adult play space with storage, so the Rider Desire suits our lifestyle more closely than the RiderAir does. Students living in dorms, unless you have your own suite, make sure the TV or stereo is on, and you use this on your bed with blankets under you. In our testing it reached 59dB at 30cm and 57dB at 100cm. We were able to hear it on the other side of a closed door, so test the waters on low before you turn it up. However, if you have limited storage space, mobility concerns when lifting heavy things, or like to travel with your toys, the RiderAir would be the better pick for you. Beginners? Pick what works within your budget and storage space.
We made space for this saddle in our play space, and it’s not going anywhere soon. We were grateful to review the RiderAir, and wish you many a happy orgasm on your next ride.
