Kiiroo Onyx Plus Reviewed: Still Worth Buying in 2026?

At long last, I’ve finally got around to reviewing my Kiiroo Onyx+. I’ve had it for well over a year now, having previously owned an older edition. With the new version though, I can confidently say it delivers a unique, if not slightly niche, experience in the world of automatic strokers. If you’re looking for a hands-free, interactive toy that leans into adult tech and interconnectivity, it’s one of the better options out there. That said, it’s not without trade-offs, and knowing what this toy does best is key to getting the most out of it.

Design and Feel

The Onyx+ is clean and minimalist in appearance. About the size of a large thermos, it fits in the hand well without being bulky or overly obvious. It measures approximately 24.6 by 9 by 8 centimeters and weighs around 780 grams. It’s made with sturdy ABS and POM plastics on the outside, while the inner sleeve is a soft RealFeel silicone blend designed to simulate actual skin. The sleeve is housed in a cartridge that slides in and out easily. Texture-wise, it’s subtle and smooth. Not hyper-realistic, but soft and pleasant enough for extended sessions.

Inside, the main tech is a mechanism using ten individual contracting rings. These rings contract up and down to simulate stroking, without any need for thrusting. You simply insert, power on, and let it take over. It can reach up to 140 strokes per minute, and though it’s not super intense, it’s consistent and shows its strength of a slower buildup over longer sessions.

Ease of Use and Setup

The Onyx+ is straightforward to set up. Charge it using the included micro-USB cable for about four hours out of the box for the first charge. It gives you around one to two hours of use per charge, which is plenty for most people. Once powered on, you can use the onboard touch panel for manual control or pair it with the FeelConnect app over Bluetooth for interactive features.

The app is where things start getting interesting. You can sync it with VR videos, webcam shows, or even partner it with another compatible Kiiroo device (Pearl2+ or Pearl3) and let your partner take the reigns. I tested it with FeelMe AI, which scans over 200 adult video sites in real time, and the Onyx+ responded in sync with what was happening on screen. Performance in Practice

In terms of sensation, it feels more mechanical than organic at high speed, but at slow to medium it’s perfect. The motion is steady, not aggressive. If you’re expecting strong suction or hard thrusting, this may feel a little gentler, but it’s great for edging, teasing, or just letting go for a longer hands-free session. The real strength lies in the integration. With synced content, it gives the illusion of being part of the scene, especially when used with good headphones or VR. The sleeve itself could use more variety, and I’d love more internal texture options. Still, it gets the job done for a wide range of users.

Noise is minimal. There’s still a gentle motor hum, but it’s far from disruptive. Cleanup is manageable. The sleeve is removable and washable, though not reversible. Avoid submerging the unit, since it’s not waterproof. A simple rinse and air dry of the sleeve does the trick. Wipe clean the case with a damp cloth.

As a couple, we have tried using the Onyx Plus remotely, and it does work quite well! It’s a fun way to have a good night video call before bed. For more stimulation and accurate feeling of sex, I’d go with the Keon instead, as it adds the thrusting aspect, plus the swappable sleeves, PowerBlow, and now PowerShot. Whichever you choose, it does enhance the feeling of closeness even at a distance.

Software Testing

We recently bought a Meta Quest 3 and subscribed to Sex Like Real (SLR) to better test out the products we review. The Onyx+ needed to be paired with the Quest 3 prior to opening the DeoVR app and navigating to SLR. It was a fairly simple process to go through and it worked without much issue. I wish it connected as easily as the Keon, but being an older device I can’t fault the Onyx+ too much.

Navigating the apps is simple and intuitive. There is a limited selection of videos compared to other hosting platforms. Where SLR shines here is the quality of video (up to 8K), and multiple ways to view a VR scene. My personal favorite has been 180 degree with passthrough. You have the ability to position a performer during a scene where you wish in relation to yourself, in your own environment. It’s a mix between a Star Trek, Blade Runner, Cyberpunk 2077, and Demolition Man. It is truly a next level experience everyone deserves to have at least once in their lives.

When using the SLR connectivity and scripts, I find that there is more focus placed on slow and medium speed movements vs. FeelMe AI where the action sequences lean towards faster and longer strokes. Setting FeelMe AI to medium sensitivity works well at smoothing things out at the expense of a shorter range of motion. That said, the library is virtually unlimited.

When paired with something like FeelMe AI, it becomes far more immersive than you’d expect from a toy that doesn’t thrust or vibrate. If you’re a tech loving user who wants to experience a different kind of hands-free toy, the Onyx+ is worth considering. Just know going in that it prioritizes smooth, automatic movement over deep suction or tight texture.
