Introduction
Buckle up, this toy knocked our socks off. Hot Octopuss provided us their new Jett Turbo for review back in April, and we have spend the last two months testing it in different situations to see what it could do. The premise of this toy is very simple, dual vibrators and a handheld controller, designed for penis owners. There are a few toys that do this, including their own previous generation, the JETT.
Hot Octopuss does this by using two of the strongest non-wand motors we’ve ever tested, each tuned to different frequency ranges (Bass and Treble), and gives you independant control of each motor through their handheld remote. Through the magic of constructive and destructive interference (High School Physics class throwback!), the different frequencies act on their own and in partnership to give wavelike or even pulsing sensations that are even more intense than using just one vibe. Even on level one!
Unboxing Experience
The JETT TURBO arrived by Canada Post and took 10 days to arrive from the Netherlands. Canada Post for some reason routed it through BC instead of Ontario or Manitoba, so that likely added a few days to the overall shipping time. If you’re in Canada and need this for a gift or vacation, definitely order far in advance to be safe.
Everything arrived without damage in an unmarked cardboard box. On opening, the main packaging features a large image of the cock ring and controller against a red and black background. Each side of the box gives specific information on how to use the toy, and a description of the features and vibration options. The rear of the box gives visual get started instructions and an overall description of the product.
Inside we find packaging to keep everything from bouncing around during shipping or in-store should somebody drop a box accidentally. We find the cock ring, two bullets, the controller, information and instructional booklets, and my absolute favorite a drawstring storage bag. Seriously, we love when storage bags come with products.
Product Overview
We have two vibrators, a silicone cock ring, and a controller. To get started, charge the controller using a USB-C cable with a charging block limited to 10w. While we have used fast chargers during our testing without issue, I would recommend sticking with the 10W (5V, 2A) recommendations to avoid voiding the 1 year warranty. Charge it for two hours. On the rear of the controller are two indentations where the retractable cord sits and can hold the pin connectors when not in use. They fit securely and are not difficult to insert or remove.
Plugging in the bullet vibrators is fairly simple. They use a pin style connector, and the pins slide into dedicated waterproof ports. In future models I hope they use more vibrant colours on the bullets and pins to denote the Treble side from the Bass. The first time I tried to get it together with my glasses off, I looked like Mr. Magoo. Lesson learned, always prepare your toys before the heat of the moment. The retractable cord pulls out to various lengths and locks in place. To retract the cord, pull it all the way out and guide it back in.
There are two ways you can turn the controller on. Press and hold the mode select button at the top of the controller until the vibrators buzz. The other method is pressing and holding one of the plus buttons, and it will turn on. To turn it off, press and hold a minus button or press and hold the mode select button once again. There are aptly coloured indicator lights on the front of the controller. They start at green for mild, yellow for intense, and then red for can’t remember your own name. During charging, the lights also indicate the charging status and charge level.
Build Quality and Materials
The controller is made with ABS molded plastic. As we’ve mentioned, it is not waterproof, so be sure to keep it away from the bathtub, shower, or any watersports! The cock ring is made from high grade silicone. The vibrators appear to be ABS plastic with silicone sealing the ports. The ring is quite flexible and will fit most users. if you are above 3″ in diameter, you may find it a bit too snug, so check accordingly.
The controls are intuitive and simple to use. Even in the dark, they are easy to find and operate. the USB-C charging port does not have a cover on it, so again, keep it dry. One thing to note, is that you cannot charge the JETT TURBO at the same time you are operating it. It’s one or the other.
Performance
This is my favorite part of my reviews to dig into and answer the burning question; How does this product perform? TLDR: Excellent.
To properly evaluate this product we need to look at Hot Octopuss’ claims of how powerful it is, ability to function as an edging tool, hands free orgasms, and easy cleanup.
Claim: 35% more power and rumble over the previous JETT.
Not having tested the previous generation, I cannot completely confirm this. I will say though, that when set to 100% on both vibes, the only toys we have that win out for intensity are the original Hitachi Magic Wand, and the We-Vibe Wand 2. We have hundreds of sex toys, and this absolutely blows them away for shear strength of vibration.
Claim: Can function as an edging tool.
If you’ve read our other reviews, you’ll know that I love edging, so anytime we get something in that promises this, we take those claims seriously. The ring is designed to sit under the head of the penis. The vibrators sit either side of the frenulum and give stimulation to the most sensitive part. We tested solo edging and having my partner control the remote. I preferred having my partner control it, having the mystery of what the next sensation will be is a lot of fun. It works just as well for solo sessions as well. So far I have been unable to outlast the battery!
Claim: Hands free orgasms are possible.
100%. You can absolutely have hands free orgasms with the JETT TURBO. We tried different locations along the penis, at the base behind the scrotum, and using lube to stroke with it. Hot Octopuss specifically designed it to rest against the frenulum, and that was where we had the best results. I won’t promise you will finish every time because everyone is different, but this will be your best shot if you do struggle with finishing with toys. We also tested it without an erection, and you do need to hold it in place, so if ED is something you deal with, this will likely work for you.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage
Claim: Easy cleaning.
Keeping in mind the controller is not waterproof, I suggest unplugging the cords from the vibrators prior to cleaning. Wipe them off with a clean, damp cloth, and dry them to prevent corrosion should you need to. You can use the same method for wiping clean the controller if you need to. Then retract the cable and store the pins. Cleaning the cock ring and vibrators is simple. Warm water for a rinse, soap and scrub, and another rinse. I would suggest removing the vibes from the casing to make sure every part gets clean. The first time removing them was a bit tricky, but subsequent cleanings were much easier to get the vibes in and out. Pro-Tip: Push the ribbed side in a bit to get them started!
Comparison
I have used several direct frenulum stimulation toys including the original LELO F1S, Arcwave Ion, Couple’s Sharing Vibe, and multiple suction toys. The closest to intensity would be the Arcwave Ion. It uses air pulse technology similar to the Womanizer style of toys. It hits hard and can be quite intense when on high. The biggest drawbacks with the Ion are no patterns, its very loud, it is heavy, and it can only charge using it’s docking station. Granted, it is very fun to use, but it can be a bit tricky to get into position and does need lube to slide in without pinching. Arcwave Ion Review
The F1S operates similarly using pulses and vibrations, but early models lacked the power to work with medium to larger sized users without stalling. From LELO’s website and other reviewer’s it does seem the latest editions have become much stronger, but still focus on the high frequency pulsing tech to deliver direct stimulation.
The JETT TURBO in comparison is lower cost, delivers targeted stimulation to the frenulum, is easy to position, and is relatively quiet even at higher speeds. It will not deliver the same all encompassing vibrations that the F1 series of toys do, or if you prefer the mid-high frequency pulses of the ION, it might be too rumbly for you. I’ve found over the years I prefer a deeper rumble in my toys vs a buzzing sensation, and I like the option to have a ramping (0-100) mode. This does both.

Verdict
If you are after a vibrator for you or your partner’s penis that is easy to use, extremely powerful, simple to clean, and do not need remote play via an app, this will work for you. If you need to be discrete, keep it on lower settings, turn on some music for background, and consider using it under a towel or blanket. While it is fairly quiet, we were able to hear it on the other side of the bedroom door when we were at 70% or above. We have enjoyed testing the JETT TURBO over the last two months, and to date have not run into any issues with the product. My initial worries about the silicone ring breaking have yet to come true. Thankfully if that should ever happen, replacements are $20 cad, so it’s not the end of the world.
