Introduction
We purchased this sleeve during Boxing Day to find out how well it holds up to the reputation of Melrose Michaels herself. Having never filmed a scene with her, I have no idea, but Kiiroo did a great job accurately molding the entrance and came up with a texture design that combines intense ridges with a smooth center that tightens at the end. This sleeve is middle of the pack for intensity and suction, but where it shines is for those wanting a longer edging session or those who enjoy depth play. There is a very stark contrast between the first texture zone and the second. What we found in our testing was taking your time and going slow gave better overall sensation compared with going for a speed run. This is an excellent sleeve for edging.
Unboxing Experience
The package arrived in an unmarked cardboard box with our other items. No damage thankfully! On opening, the Fell Melrose Michaels Stroker box is branded in typical Kiiroo fashion. Michaels is featured on the front, we have a texture breakdown on one side, with an ecosystem overview and specs on the other, and finally a blurb on Melrose on the back. The box is sealed with two stickers to prevent tampering. When you peel back the stickers, and slide out the stroker, you pull out the included ABS case with the sleeve inside. The case is the standard Kiiroo one that comes with most sleeves, it’s PowerBlow and Keon compatible.
Product Overview
The Feel Melrose Stroker is in my books a slower paced or edging sleeve. Going slow you can feel the individual ridges immediately after entry. At faster stroke speeds this sensation goes away and it feels almost like a single texture sleeve. Slow and steady wins the race with Michaels. The entrance is molded from the Melrose directly, so aside from the singular colour, it is very realistic. The offset initial entry is a bit on the snugger side and you immediately enter the “Grasping Coils”. They do live up to their name, but only at slower speeds, maybe 60 strokes per minute or under. The coils hold tight and keep the lube in the sleeve, at the same time providing the most intense stimulation it has to offer. Next up is what Kiiroo calls the “Smooth Transition”, where the sleeve widens and uses less pronounced ridges. Finally, the sleeve narrows again into the “Snug Push Zone”, where the ramp up the intensity again with much larger coils.
The only drawback we had here was the coils extend too far and can cause air leaks with the PowerBlow at settings above 70% strength. Not a deal breaker, but it does reenforce that this sleeve is meant for longer play sessions, not a quickie and go.
Build Quality and Materials
The Melrose Stroker Sleeve continues the long line of high quality sleeves and strokers Kiiroo is known for. To be quite fair, I keep posting lots of their products because I genuinely enjoy them. I do still have to be impartial though, which means mentioning that they do use TPE for material. I haven’t had any issues to date, but you do need to set aside time before and after your play sessions to properly clean, rinse, and dry your sleeve with every use. Drying rods, fans, or dedicated sleeve dryers all work about the same. I live in a dry climate so air drying on the counter works alright for me, but make sure that you are drying your sleeves reasonably!
Performance
We’ve touched on this a little bit already, the main focus of this sleeve is to enjoy a longer, slower, and more intimate experience. If you use visual aids or videos during your play sessions, FeelMe AI is an excellent addition to the Keon ecosystem. I ended up buying my subscription long before I was writing reviews, and I continue to renew it because It elevates the overall experience and is way more cost effective than paying for a premium adult content website. On its own the sleeve works great, but paired with the Keon and interactive video makes it a much better overall experience. Much of Michaels’ content online is solo sessions or Instructional for the viewer, almost all of them at a slower and less aggressive pace, which is exactly where this sleeve shines.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage
Cleaning is easier than the more complicated textured sleeves. Warm soapy water, a quick scrub with your fingers, and a thorough rinse. To date I haven’t had issues with mold growth or material break down. There’s also been no tearing. We mentioned it earlier, It’s important with TPE to ensure you are completely rinsing and drying your sleeve. In my area, the countertop works great, but you may need to consider a drying rod or fan depending where you live. The sleeve easily stores in the black ABS case with lids top and bottom. It can easily be tucked away in storage long term, without risk of pet hair or other dust bunnies trying to sneak inside to set up home.
Verdict
Melrose Michaels delivers on screen and her molded stroker does the same. This sleeve is perfect for the slow, edging buildup her fans expect. Sitting middle of the pack for intensity, it won’t take your breath away like Luxy Dutch, but it will keep you at the edge until you’re ready. I’m glad we were able to get this sleeve across our workbench for testing, and we are happy to add it to our ever growing collection of sex toys.
